welcome to my adventure

Welcome, welcome, welcome, friends. I'm Payton, but most people call me Petie, and I'd be honored if you would. There's nothing special about me, really. I'm just an ordinary girl who believes in the extraordinary. A girl who is learning what it means to live.

This is All Things Bright and Beautiful, not just a blog, but my online journal, a place for documenting my thoughts, writing, photos, special moments, and random odds and ends. My biggest passion in life is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and I am a firm believer in books, music, and people. So you can expect to hear about all those quite a bit. (And coffee. Coffee and I have a thing.) And I should warn you, I love to make people laugh. My desire is for this little space on the internet to be a haven for my readers to come and relax, learn, and be inspired to embrace this beautiful life God has given all of us. A place of beauty, encouragement, and ambition. Not a spotlight performance where everyone is watching me, but a coffee-shop type atmosphere where we all mingle together and chat about all sorts of things, big and small, important and petty.

If you stick around here for a while, you'll learn pretty quick that I see life as an adventure, a challenge to be conquered, a journey to be traveled. I don't love by halves. I sing loudly. I do crazy things. My dad says my life should be a musical. But I have this zest, this energy, this fire, for a reason. I am embracing this journey, this adventure, this LIFE that the Lord has given me, and I'm trying to give it all away to Him. This blog is my journey along that road, my ups and downs as I write my own story and strive to proclaim the excellencies of the Lord with everything I do. There will be laughter, tears, idiosyncrasies, rawness, and the occasional craziness, but one thing's for sure: it will be an adventure.

xoxo

  6. Okay, I love this. Like, a lawt. And I love that you've found a platform you're more comfortable with (tried WP for a few months and found it too complicated for what I want to be focusing on right now, though I will say it'll be very handy whenever I decide to transition to a website). The new design is beeee-yootiful, as are you (i love your hair!) and yeah, I'll stop now and just hit publish on this little comment o mine before it gets any longer, heh heh. <3
